Fernanda recently reached out to me wanting some headshots and branding images for her new counselling business. She’s in start up mode so like many new businesses, we were looking for just a quick but effective session.
She had a nice simple couch in her own condo building out in the Esquimalt area of Victoria so we took these studio esque photos right in her living room! Proving that I know you’re over thinking your location for your branding photos when it’s possibly (literally) right in front of you!
Fernanda wanted something approachable and engaging and lighting this session with natural light gives that professional look without coming across “too perfect”, not a message you want to send as a counsellor.
We finished off the session with some outdoor images right outside her building to give some rounded out imagery to her photo collection.
These are ALL the things I consider when doing your shoot. It isn’t just about a perfect portrait – leave that for artistic portrait sessions – your clients are looking to connect with YOU. So let’s show them that.
