I recently had the opportunity to go over to Nanaimo at the Bethelam Centre for a beautiful retreat that focused on celebrating the light that you bring to the world, something many of us struggle to take the time for. This location is just a short drive from Nanaimo city centre and the ferry terminals. It’s an all inclusive location that provided us with the space, meals and accommodations for a very reasonable rate. The best part? It’s located right on a lake, has a beautiful landscaped property and the space where you can hold the gatherings of your retreat are quite nice and photo friendly. I’ve been to a few retreats where you’re in a boring room with terrible lighting and it just does not fit the vibe of what you need for this kind of event.
This event was put on by the amazing Adera & Laureen of the Women Leading Change podcast and Facebook group. They had asked for me to come present a guided hypnosis for the group as one of the facilitators. This was super exciting for me as I hadn’t done an in person group hypnosis yet and so I wrote a custom script aimed at the energy of the event and they absolutely loved it. Psst – I hope to do a recorded version soon and put it where I put all my downloadable content on the Soulmate Client Society.
Now, I wouldn’t be me if I also didn’t bring my camera to capture a bit of the event. I was focused a lot on my own journey and being present as a guest that I actually didn’t get as many photos as I would have liked to give you a sense of the energy of this amazing few days. However, I did have a few members ask if I could take some branding style photos for them and I think this should be a THING at all retreats!
If you’re a retreat host and have considered offering this as a service to document your retreat and give your attendees a chance for their own photos, I highly recommend contacting me to see how we can work together. You can offer mini branding sessions (or even just a few new photos) to your attendees as a bonus OR an optional upgrade. With people needing authentic images all the time, this is a popular and valuable add.
